Tesco Ilkley is proud to be part of the local community and colleagues in store are always looking for ways to help improve the town and the local area.
Tesco Community Grants allow customers to vote with blue tokens for local community groups and charities to receive grants. A total of £73,961 donated to 48 groups and we’re looking for more at www.tescocommunitygrants.org.uk
“We’re working hard to minimise food waste and we’re committed to getting good food to those who need it, when it’s need most. Our Community Food Connection Scheme prioritises unsold food for redistribution to charities and community groups; through partnership with FareShare, Trussell Trust and OLIO. This has donated £31,430 to local groups.
Finally, we’ve launched Buy One to Help a Child initiative. To help ensure children don’t miss out on meals Tesco will donate for every piece of fresh fruit and veg bought in its stores until August 8th 2021.”
