Ilkley BID launches Voluntary Membership

Oct 30, 2020News

AN increased interest from local businesses has prompted Ilkley BID to offer a voluntary membership scheme to LS29 businesses who previously were not eligible due to their size or location.

The BID was formed in June 2019 after more than a year of consultations with local businesses and is in the second year of it’s five year business plan, which is dedicated to promoting the town and improving the trading environment for businesses through ongoing support, lobbying and the delivery of programmes, projects and services.

The voluntary membership is a great opportunity for more businesses to have access to some of the many benefits that the BID offers. If you are based in the LS29 area and operate in business premises with a listed rateable value or are registered at Companies House, then you qualify for a voluntary membership. More businesses became aware of Ilkley BID through being promoted in the Ilkley To You campaign which ran during lockdown. The campaign involved advertising businesses who were offering take-away and delivery services.

Local businesses who don’t meet the criteria can still benefit from affordable advertising packages on the new Discover Ilkley webiste – a new tourism website advertising Ilkley and all it has to offer.
