Ilkley’s Craiglands Hotel has announced a £2.2million investment unveiling a luxury new Verbeia Spa and Fitness facility alongside refurbished ballroom and events facilities.
The re-opening marks a new chapter in the hotel’s 162-year history which now offers a purpose-designed spa including five Decleor treatment rooms, a hydro pool, mud chamber, sauna, steam room and 25-piece gym.
Perfect for making the most of Ilkley’s beautiful walks, independent retail and culinary hospitality, the hotel’s own historic walls encompass the exclusive Bertrams restaurant, an exquisite afternoon tea experience, executive bedrooms and a range of events facilities to accommodate up to 700 people.
General Manager Matthew Hole says: “The hotel was built in 1859 at the peak of the hydrotherapy movement. We’ve recaptured those days as a wellbeing destination for days out, short breaks, traditional and multicultural weddings, events and conferences, making the best of our incredible location.”
