The Ilkley BID, in partnership with Your Ilkley Radio, has launched a campaign to spread joy and promote local businesses in Ilkley. The campaign, titled “Random Acts of Kindness,” involves surprising unsuspecting residents with free Ilkley Gift Cards during the month of September.
The campaign is a fun and engaging initiative aimed at promoting local businesses, encouraging footfall, and supporting the Ilkley businesses. By surprising residents and visitors to the town with free Ilkley Gift Cards, we hope to create a positive atmosphere and foster a sense of goodwill within the town.
Campaign Goals
Promote the Ilkley Gift Card: Increase awareness of the Ilkley Gift Card as a convenient and valuable way to support local businesses.
Encourage Footfall: Drive more people to shop and dine in Ilkley, boosting the local economy.
Support Businesses: Provide a direct benefit to local businesses by increasing sales and foot traffic.
Campaign Mechanics
Random Selection: Five unsuspecting residents of Ilkley were selected on 4 allocated days in September and were given a free Ilkley Gift Card.
Gift Card Value: The gift cards ranged in value from £10 to £50.
Redemption: Winners were able to use their gift cards at any participating local businesses that accept the card.
