We’re on a Mission to Make Ilkley “Walkers are Welcome”!
Here at Ilkley BID, we’re really excited to tell you about our campaign to achieve “Walkers are Welcome” status for our fantastic town. We believe this will bring significant benefits to everyone living and working in Ilkley.
We’re working hard to get Ilkley officially recognised as a place that welcomes and supports walkers. This isn’t just about getting a nice badge; it’s about boosting our local economy and enhancing the walking experience for everyone who loves our beautiful landscapes. Think more visitors supporting our shops, cafés, and accommodations, and better maintained footpaths and trails for us all to enjoy!
To make this happen, we need to gather at least 750 signatures from residents within the LS29 postcode. We’ve had a great start, with many of you signing our paper forms at Go Outdoors and Craghoppers – thank you so much for your support! But we need to reach even more people.
That’s why we’ve launched an online petition on Change.org. We want to make it as easy as possible for everyone in LS29 to show their support, and to share our campaign with their friends and family. Digital outreach is key in today’s world, and we know we can reach more people this way.
